Jean Marie Le Pen is making the EU totalitarian with it's demands on an Irish revote the EU treaty. It is funny how the EU constitution is trapping the leaders of it in such a tight corner. All of the countries have to vote or else it is not passes and it is so stupid why he is trying to look past that and force Ireland to agree! Go Ireland! I hope that this will end the EU, I hate it.

  1. I bet, you've never been to Europe.

You have no idea about who Le Pen is, nor what the differences in culture between Ireland and France are, nor about the history of the EU, nor about the Lisboa Treaty.

So why do ask 'questions' like these? Do you want to show yourself as somebody that Europeans consider an ignorant, undereducated US American?

  2. i guess there is truth to "the fighting irish"...hopefully they dont back down and take part in the 1 world order c**p!

  3. Yes i do...with a passion!!!.

  4. It was a nice idea to start with when people could move freely between countries without a passport and could work anywhere in Europe, but now it is getting out of hand with more and more Eurocrats being paid large sums of money to do ....... nothing!

  5. One day I intend to visit Europe...but I am having trouble recruiting enough English Long Bow men to take with me.

  6. hate it, dictating bsatards the lot of them.

  7. What a totally misguided concept. Oh Mr Gorbachev!! Didn't you just end up messing it all up!

  8. The Irish have said no to the Lisbon Treaty because they know it will signal the end of their Ancient Celtic culture, way of life, rites and religion.

I have always admired the Irish for their gift of understanding.

While I continue dancing with British Celtic rage, the Irish systematically pick things to bits so that the raw inside is exposed to the full glare of day for all to see what foolishness it really is.

Following the Irish NO to the Lisbon Treaty vote - it is now dead in the water - so how come the Gordon Brine UK.gov can continue on as though nothing has happened with their undemocratic plans to ratify this dead in the water rag of a treaty which no one wants -not even in a nightmare?

  9. The EU is good. Dunno why people have a cry over it; your governments have far worse electoral screwups (Bush re-elected? wtf was that?) and this is only one that the EU has had. Talk about being reactionary, jeez.

Granted, the Irish issue is a thorn in its backside. Switzerland as well, along with the liberal drug policies in the Netherlands. The EU isn't aiming to be a government federation, it is a group hug of nations in Europe. Nothing more, nothing less.

The US should feel threatened by the EU and rightly so! If the euro becomes the international trading standard over the American dollar then poof you are in trouble.

  10. Nah. I think it's a foolish bit of economic hegemony, but I don't quite hate it.

  11. if it does fall than bye bye Euro :)

  12. Why would european nations want to surrender so much of their sovereignty? The EU is doing what Hitler couldn't do. All of europe under one flag dominated by one nation.

  13. The EU pumped billions of dollars into Ireland's pathetic economy to make them what they are today; they owe everything to the EU and are very ungrateful. If they didn't want to be a part of it, they should have stayed out

  14. I despise the EU, nothing but a bunch of globalist, socialist, pieces of garbage who undermine the national identity and rich cultural history of all of the countries that belong to it.

    God Bless you Hugo.

  15. Given the choice I would support total withdrawal from the EU as far as politics go, but remain partners on the trading side.

  16. I am not very happy about EU, that's for sure. But those people working for a membership in the European Union simply does not know what they're doing, and are misguided individuals. They will return to society as productive citizens after a few years in jail.

    Edit:

    To Gas Grill:

Is that what this is all about? Give someone money to marry you(or in this case: go into a union with you)? If that's how EU works, then I do not wish to have anything to do with it.

  17. Barack HUSSEIN Obama wants to make the United States part of the EU!  Yes, the EU blows.

  18. The EU does have a whiff of Communism about it doesn`t it?

  19. they' are starting to seem a little uppity.

  20. Jean Marie Le Pen is a berk; always has been.

I am not sure how the EU will get around the Irish vote but changes will have to be made eventually. The EU is certainly not perfect but I would rather be in it than not.

  21. The EU grew out of the fact that France and Germany finally after WW II agreed to end a centuries old feud between them, and unite in the aim to live together peacefully. More and more nations joined this unique union and if it sometimes is ridiculous how they try to make all cucumbers or apples the same shape and size, at least one can hope that countries who trade with each other, have the same currency, and share many laws will not engage in war against each other.

At the same time I am all for keeping the pound, the left side driving and other British identities firmly in this country - but 'hate the EU' you want to think twice!
