  1. Yes if the concrete your putting it on is in good enough shape to accept it. If it has huge cracks and is heaved it is better to remove it.


  2. Maybe yes,maybe no.

    Allot has to do with prep work,condition of existing slab and product used.If you have cracks you stand a high probability of what we call mirroring.To do correctly you need to sandblast existing slab,clean and apply product correctly.

    I am a wall/flatwork contractor and have vivid memories of a job I did.I bid a job to overlay a slab with the factory rep there.We followed every procedure to the letter,my finishers are veteran comm finishers.Now get this,a $6800.00 job ended up costing me $9700.00.I had to tear out and replace slab because the product flashed.

    My moral to this story,since I am no longer anal retentive is I walk away from these projects.
