  1. A double entry means you will be arriving twice into the country. It's a good idea to make sure you don't run out of entries. Can you get a "multiple entry" visa? This lets you apply for entry an unlimited number of times. Each time you arrive, though, you still have to convince the immigration officer that you merit admission.

For example, if you plan to Country A for a few days, then on to Country B for more travel and then back to Country A on your way back to Canada, you will have asked for admission two times- the first time on your way from Canada and the second time on your way from Country B. In your mind, it's *one* trip (and it is) but from Country A's perspective, it's *two* admissions.

Nothing would spoil your travel worse than running out of admissions. You'd be in trouble with Country A or, perhaps, get sent back to Country B because you lack documentation. (And you may not have more entry to Country B, either.)

A "double entry" means two entries. This contrasts with a "single-entry" visa.or a "multiple-entry" visa.

  2. Oh. The guy above got the double entry right. But may I remind you that asia is a continent NOT a country. No such visa for asia, single or multiple entry. Are you Canadian? or are you a PR in Canada? Your passport will determine if you need a visa for each specific country in asia that you wish to visit. Good luck!
