Downgrading my iPod has failed?

i tried to downgrade my ipod to 1.1.4 and i got an error. What could be the problem. This is to be able to jailbreak it but i was told that because is wasn't working on 2.0 (now there is 2.0.1) i had to go back to 1.1.4.a

Guess what: Apple doesn't LIKE jailbreaking and upgraded the firmware with the iPod, in addition to adding the software updates from 1.1.4 to 2.0. Although I haven't seen official confirmation of this, I'm pretty sure the 2.0 firmware was engineered to stop you from downgrading to 1.1.4 to jailbreak.

Besides, despite its problems, the App Store is still amazing, because there are far more apps available now than there were through Installer.app. I just want SummerBoard back.
