Downloading music.....

Is it illegal to download music from sources like limewire and bitlord etc if your only doing it for your own personal use ? Are there ANY programmes that arent illegal that allow you to download music? thanks :)

no internet is a legal source. the only program legal to download is the one you already use for your music.

Downloading copyrighted material is illegal unless you pay for it from iTunes or something similar.

I think Limewire said they would send letters out to people who were downloading illegal stuff, or it could be downloading any stuff altogether. If that is true then I don't understand why they made Limewire, if it's illegal. Anyway, sorry that didn't answer your question.

Hi, basically yes it is illegal to download music but only if you are going to profit from doing so in a monetary way. the laws are for the those who download and sell for profit, so until they ban us all from doing it carry on
