  1. who says your not an otherkin. I mean how does anyone else know they are before they new what one was. I would research and join groups and talk to people who say they are, and see if you are having similar feelings and beliefs to them, there are no reasons you are not, you just have to find your way.

  2. Obsession does not equal being otherkin.

I *love* horses, especially Gypsy vanners. I dream of them often, daydream of riding them, and even imagine what being one would be like.

I am *not* an equine therian however. Honestly, normal people are *perfectly* capable of being obsessed over something.

Before you jump to conclusions you should take a few months or even a year to step back and purposefully focus on other things.  Because honestly, you show all the early warning signs of someone who will happily delude themselves. You *desire* to be otherkin. You are obsessed with dragons. Being otherkin, believing yourself to have been draconic, does not bring happiness, or fulfillment. It doesn't bring anything special to your life. It's simply like noticing a mole on your elbow you hadn't noticed before.

  3. I think they still do exist, although I have not seen one recently.  I do have a very clear memory of befriending one in a past life. If you care to contact me thru my profile we can talk.

  4. yea. u can believe all u want. but ur not a dragon otherkin.  otherkin are not real.  sure there are secrets in this world and there are other people here who we may not know about.  but the government does a pretty good job of keeping raps on that.  if there are secrets to be beheld, they wuldnt go public w/ them.

  5. Being otherkin is more than just being attracted to or obsessed with some animal or mythical being. You have to do serious introspection to decide if you're otherkin. It takes time to research the kin type(s) you think you might be. You also have to be careful not to delude yourself about being something, because it's really easy to do that.

You sound from your posts like you could easily fall into that "fairy-princess syndrome", where people imagine they're some attractive mythical being, but they aren't really otherkin. It's common for people to think they're some kind of otherkin when they're really not.

I think I'm psi-vampiric, but it's not just because I like vampires or want to be one. I'm 43 years old. I accepted only last year that I might actually be vampiric, because I've had psychic vampire type experiences ever since I was 16. I also kept having dreams of being a vampire or being told I was one. I kept telling myself they were just symbolic of wanting to feel empowered or free, but eventually I couldn't deny all the signs any longer.

I might be some kind of otherkin, but I don't just say I'm one because that would make me feel special. I keep exploring dreams I've had or am having to see what themes keep coming up. Are there any that seem like real past-life memories? What am I consistently drawn to? (Nature, water, and especially the sea are some things.) What animals and symbols resonate for me? What do these symbolize? Are there things that used to scare me in dreams, that now attract me instead? Are the symbols and themes that resonate most strongly with me consistant with ones associated with some particular mythical being? Do I feel like my astral body could have wings or a tail or some other shape? Is this feeling consistent? or is it more likey just some idea I'm  projecting at the moment? Are my usual thoughts, feelings or reactions consistent with those of a particular non-human being? Can these thoughts, feelings and reactions be explained with more mundane explanations? (The more unusual and more convoluted explanations are less likely to be real.)

It takes work to figure out if you're otherkin. It's not just about picking out some being that you think is cool.
