Does the word "Dragon" signify male AND female?

Like, there's lion and lioness. Is there Dragon and Dragoness or something??? lol

  1. In another language there may be a difference in gender of the word, but in English I've only ever heard dragon and it refers to both male and female.


  2. i never heard "dragoness" before :), no, dragon is used for both male and female :)

  3. "Dragon refers to both male and female in english.  The babies, however, are "dragonlets".
