Drinking on a ferry?

How old do you have to be to drink on a ferry from france to england?

is it english rules? or is it french rules??!?!?

It's 18 the whole way over.

You have English jurisdiction up to the 3 mile limit, then you're into international waters until the French 3 mile limit. In international waters, it depends on where the ferry is registered as to which laws have precedence, most of the ones I've been on over the years have applied French law.
