  1. The best thing you can do is go to the manufacturers site (for example if your computer is a HP then go to hp.com) go to the support section/downloads you should be able to put in the model of your pc and get the latest drivers for all the components of your pc.

  2. You need to install motherboard first them your video card. Drivers, you have them on a CD. That you got whit your PC....

  3. go to

    control panel,

    system

    hardware

    devicemanager

click on cd drive and delete it

    back to control panel

install hardware and windows should reinstall the cd drive

maybe you should call the smart kid down the street- the one you like but are too shy to talk to, and ask for help with this.

  4. Pop in your driver CD's and it will prompt your for everything....if it's a Dell then look for the blue cd's that came with your computer that say drivers.

  5. Drivers are softwares for the hardware's installed in the computer. Like you said you have to install Graphics software for the graphics card. You have to install Sound Driver for the sound card etc. Driver CD will have drivers for all the hardwares installed. So you have to run the disk inorder to have everything working.
