I live in San Antonio, Texas and I really want to start drivers ed. but I don't have the time to go to the school and take the classes this summer. I heard that you can take it at home, with your parents but I'm not sure what website to look up. can anyone help me?

  1. There are plenty of Drivers Ed curriculums for homeschooling; one of the most popular is actually called Drivers Ed in a Box :)

You can find them at Rainbow Resource, they're also at the homeschool conventions.  I'm not sure if San Antonio has had their convention yet, but if they have, you can find some options at Rainbow.

    Hope that helps!

  2. Driver Ed in a Box!

    Hope this helped!

  3. First, do a web search for Texas department of transportation.  Their site will give you all the information you need.

  4. In order to do parent taught driver's ed in Texas you first need to go to the driver's license office and get an order form for a   packet.  If memory serves the packet costs $20.  This packet also gets you registered for parent taught.  Everything you need will be in the packet.

  5. I have been wondering the same question! Public school in south Louisiana has a horrible drivers ed..50% of the students crashed within 6 months..But then my dad said that we can go to the license place and they will give us the paperwork and stuff! Try that!

  6. You can have your parents give you basic instruction, then go out on the road with them. (if you first have a learner's permit)
