  1. No, Illinois requires you to be 15 to drive.  You cannot drive at 14 in Illinois even if you have a permit from a state where you can drive at 14.

  2. they need to change the law with that.  I think there are too many kids trying to get their license and they end up getting killed.  Too early to get the permit and not enough training.

  3. probably not. but ur soo lucky. in California if your born before 1994 u get ur drivers permit at 17 now.

  4. your drivers permit is only for your state.  So in other words, you can only drive in your state

  5. NO NO NO...you will get in trouble...if you drive somewhere where you have to be older you CANNOT drive.

i just took drivers ed and we talked all about that...

    :) hope i helped

  6. If you have your permit with you as long as it doesnt have that listed as a restriction and you have an adult with you then i cant see why not.

  7. you need to be 15 to legally drive with a permit in all states.

  8. I doubt it, your permit only permits you to drive in your state. With your license you can go where ever you want.

  9. This question must get asked at least a dozen times a day.  The answer is "NO".  An instruction permit / learners permit is ONLY valid in the state that issues it.  While the states have a reciprocity agreement to accept each others driver license, the same is NOT true of instruction permits.  You can ONLY legally use your permit in Iowa. If caught in any other state you would be cited for driving without a license.

  10. ok well considering i live in pennsylvania, i'll tell you how it was here. we get our permit at 16. and we can get our license 6 months later with like 120 hours of driving experience. but i read that we werent allowed to drive out of state while having our permit. i still did it anyways being i live so close to the west virginia and ohio boarder. just follow the traffic laws and you shouldnt get caught. i dont see what the big deal is since you have an adult with you.

  11. So what!
