Hey all, I am really confused about something. I am about to get my license (next wed.), so I am going to try to buy a parking permit for my school tommorow. However, they said i need to bring proof of insurance along w/ me also. Problem is, my dad says there's no possible way I could have insurance, seeing that I don't have my license. Is that correct? I mean, don't you also have to present proof of insurance before taking the DMV driving test? Help!

  1. Since cars are insured and not drivers, simply take the proof of insurance (card) for the vehicle you will be getting a permit for

  2. Just bring a copy of the insurance card for the vehicle, it won't have your name on it but it will show the car you are driving is covered.
