Driving south through DC at 4pm?

Question

I will be driving through DC on I-95S at right about 4pm on friday...should I avoid this or will the traffic be terrible? I hear alot of people live S of DC and drive N to get to work so on friday I would imagine it being bad.

haha good luck, bring some food, water, and extra gas, you aint gettin off I95 for a few hours

commuter traffic time so expect traffic. I travel from NC to NJ and back every few weeks. I time my travel to avoid commuter hours in the dc area-95 or even the highways around it will be congested. have fun-you will survive it. just make sure you have enough gas
