  1. try coasting through a turn but at a lower speed, and if all else fails try the wide turn but do it kool like a pimp turn =)

turn the wheel more to turn more towards the inside

  2. you just need practice

  3. RIGHT TURN:

    1. off the gas about 1/2 block from the corner, and make a right lane change about 2 houses from the corner.(shoulder check and signal of course before changing lanes.)

    2. gently brake to an appropriate speed (about 10 kph...but this depends upon the severity of the angle at the corner).

    3. look at a point about 3 ft out from the right corner curb.(this will prevent you from running over the curb with your rear wheel). YOUR HANDS FOLLOW YOUR EYES...that's how your brain works......walking, riding a bike, driving.....it works!

    4. coast around the corner without using your accelerator or brake (unless it's a hill), steering enough but not too much, looking well ahead up the curb lane and enter the curb lane.Straighten out your steering, then gently accelerate. Then signal left, shoulder check and when safe make a left lane change. (if there is a vehicle or other obstruction in the curb lane, then look to the left of the obstruction or vehicle and then you may enter the "left" lane if it is safe to do so.

Remember, it is understood that there are two lanes in each direction on every street ......the curb lane, for parking, and the left (or center) lane for driving.

When turning corners, steer as much as you NEED, but don't oversteer, and don't accelerate much at all on right turns. If you have to use the accelerator, then come of it again once you are moving. Remember to LOOK up your intended path of travel when steering around corners. Your hands follow your eyes......that's how your brain works! Practice this and it will eventually become quite easy. It is the safe way to make a right turn.

    LEFT TURN:

    1. Come off the accelerator about 1/2 block before your turn to about 15 kph, signalling about 2 houses before the intersection.

    2. Stay right of center line and once your front bumper is in line with the closest edge of the curb of the street you are entering, then look for oncoming traffic (which has the right of way when you are turning left, unless you have a turning arrow at a light or a police officer is directing traffic).Don't forget to shoulder check to the left for pedestrians, cyclists, etc.....in the crosswalk area before you turn.

    3. Coast around the corner (you may need a bit of acceleration if you are stopped, or if it's a big intersection or a hill), looking well ahead up your intended path of travel.

Left turns are made from right of center line to right of center line on two way streets. You'll find that  you wont' need as much steering on a left turn as you do on a right turn. You may remain in this lane unless you intend to make a right turn.

It's very important to develop good scanning habits when approaching intersections (especially when making left turns). Most crashes happen at intersections, so look for that

vehicle which might be speeding through a yellow/red light when making a left turn.

  4. Practice going real slow into the turn and giving just a tiny bit of gas at the halfway point so you increase your speed a bit as you come out of it.

  5. STEERING Steer smoothly whether you are driving straight ahead, turning or backing up.

ACCELERATION Accelerate smoothly and moderately. Don't race the engine or cause it to stall.

BRAKING Bring the vehicle to a stop gently. Start braking well before your stopping position to avoid "jerky" stops. Make sure you stop your vehicle in the proper position of the lane.

CLUTCH/GEAR Always be sure your vehicle is in the correct gear. With either an automatic or a manual transmission, shift into the proper gear at the right time without "grinding" the gears.

SPEED Obey the posted speed limit, of course, but also adjust your speed properly due to weather, road, visibility and traffic conditions.

FOLLOWING DISTANCE Keep an adequate space "cushion" between your vehicle and those you are following. Use the "two second rule" described in the Driver's Manual. Be sure to increase your following distance in poor weather or visibility.

TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES Know the meanings of signs, signals and pavement markings, and obey them consistently.

STOPPING POSITION If a stop is required, stop your vehicle before it reaches an intersecting street. If stop lines or crosswalks are present, stop before crossing them. If your view is blocked after stopping behind the crosswalk, move up until you can clearly see your way, then stop again if necessary.

LANE SELECTION AND POSITION Keep your vehicle in the proper traffic lane, especially when preparing to make turns. Don't allow room for another vehicle to pass you on the side that you are turning toward.

COMMUNICATION Let other drivers and pedestrians know which way you want to go. Use your directional signals or horn consistently and at the proper times.

OBSERVATION Look for and identify potential problems or hazards in the traffic around you - not just straight ahead, but behind you and on either side. Check your mirrors frequently, but be sure to look over your shoulder behind you when changing lanes or backing up.

ANTICIPATE & REACT TO OTHERS Anticipate possible driving errors by others and be ready to react safely to make up for their mistakes.

  6. go some where you can be all by your self, like a big parking lot. get yourself something that will hold an egg up where you can see it and just practice

  7. practice driving in a parking lot and go to driver's ed.
