Dropped Iphone in the pool?

It's been about 19 hours since I dropped my Iphone in the pool, it was in there about 3 seconds until I dived in and got it. First I blew in it to see if the water would come out.. but that didn't work, then I used a blowdryer.. that didn't work.

Now I'm letting it out to dry in the sun I havn't turned it out yet.. but it still feels heavy with water. I don't know what to do, should I pulg it into the wall. Other people who had dropped there Iphone in water, or the toilet said that it came back on, or it came back on in 24 hours. I don't know if that actually works.

Help me!

  1. u shud take it all apart and let it all dry seperatley it will probly start working again but have a big watermarkk inside the screen because that is what happened to mine.

  2. You are screwed!  Now you have to come back into the store and buy another $400 iPhone, warranty doesn't cover wet phones, and there is no insurance on the iPhone.  Or you can hold off for a few weeks and get the new iPhone.

  3. what I would do is stand it up so that the openings were facing down, and lean it against a window in the house for like 3 days so that the solar heat can help dry it out while gravity pulls down the water droplets. If you plug it in while it still has moisture in it you run the risk of shorting it out.

  4. While you have it off, put it in a bowl of rice and make sure you cover the phone with the rice. The rice will absorb the water. Leave it in the rice for at least 24 hours before even attempting to turn it on. It really does work.

    Good luck..

  5. it's an iphone.. all iphone's have a one year warranty that cover everything.
