Drug test for teachers in texas

do Texas teachers and teacher assistants, aids etc required to take drug screening test before hiring?

I've been teaching for many years and in a variety of districts in different states. I've never been required to take one.

uhhhh ya i agree with that one guy if you're asking you should probobly stop what you're doing but as far as i know there's no testing for teachers but there is testing for bus drivers and such

Someone said she's never never known of a school not requiring a drug test.  Meanwhile, I've never known a school that required one.

Our very different answers should tell you it depends on the district.  Check the websites of districts in your area or call their HR departments to find out what their pre-employment requirements are.
