I started using Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash four days ago. One time in the morning, one time in the night. I've noticed that its got rid of all the pimples and whatever on my face, but it dries it out soooo much. :[

Like, if i look close to my face it looks flaky. It works wonders for my breakouts, but it dries out my face! Is there any other product i could use that'll restore moisture back in my skin? Or should i just stop using it?

thanks a lottttt.

  1. are you moisturizing right after you use it?? That could be the problem! If you are washing all your face oils off, it makes your skin dry, so you need to add moisture back.

If you wanted to keep using it because it helps with pimples, then I'd suggest just start using it less, say by only using it in the morning and using something else at night, or purchase another cleanser that is just meant for whatever your skin type is and alternate between them and see if that helps.

If you notice in about 3-4 weeks from now that your face still feels like it's drier than it should be, then I would recommend changing brands for good, of just use a different brand for your cleanser and then keep the neutrogena stuff but get their scrub or something.

Make sure your moisturizer is oil free!

  2. Usually products like that will say on the back if it drys out your skin, reduce use and see if the dryness stops while continuing to keep you from breaking out.

If you don't want to try using it once a day and just washing with mild soap the other time for a few days, you can try a moisturizer cream.

  3. clean and clear,

  4. i put sudocrem on my face everymorning about 15 mins before i do my makeup then at night again. i used it because i heard somewhere that it really changes your complexion and mosturizers your skin. i swear to god after a week my skin was so much more healthier, it was really radient, no spots what so ever, and no dry patches of skin anymore, as im prone to getting little dry patches of flaky skin, then id pick it then id get scabby lol. but sudocrem definetly made a difference. But just renember aswell as cleansing always mosturize!! x x x

  5. Use Nivea Visage face moisturizer - its great and light and its so nice to use. Any other type of Nivea face moisturizer will work great too.

Also Neutrogena make really good ones - use one that matches your needs.

Innoxa, Almay Regimen, Clean & Clear, Anne Marie Borlind Young Beauty Peach Skin Facial Cream, and Estee Lauder are all good too :)

    :)

  6. use "nivea cream" its moisturizing and makes face look radiatnt.

    thats what i use..

  7. neutrogena not only have face washes but they do have the best moisturisers. it will really help u if you get one of them. they are oil free and very light. so you dont feel like wearing them.

  8. Drink lots of water,

and put on some moisterising cream everynight & morning.

Also, after you've washed your face, splash cold water onto it.

I have that stuff and my face gets dry, but with that (^) stuff it doesn't go dry.

  9. haha!

    giovanna!!! [[get on yahoo! xD]

ok anyway... i use Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash and it work fine for me... Maybe you have naturally dry skin. Try using a moisturizer or even just a lotion after you wash your face with it.

  10. only wash your face at night...and put a moisturizer on 30 minutes after..then put the moisturizer on in the morning and a makeup with moisturizing in it
