the usual touristy ( i.e Indublin et al) aren't bearing my fruit for me,

would anyone have an idea of anything particulary exciting happening? other than Bloomsday Celebrations. Ideally, something acoustic in an intimate environment.

  1. well if you're looking for music, neil diamond and mary black are playing (separately) in dublin on that date, if that's any help

  2. depends on what type of music you want. Try the brazen head or the merchant ,they are up the quays, past dublin civic offices, they always have live music on.

Otherwise it's the usual tourist places, the arlinton ( near O'Connell bridge, Bachelors walk)  have music up to 9.30, Irish dancers and all. the tourists love it... and, not that i"ve been there lately, the baggott inn, or O'Donohues both on Baggot street.

then you can always check out whats on in vicar street, crawdaddy, and teh likes either on ticketmaster or check out the evening herald. If all else fails, Neil Diamond is on in Croker....
