  1. It ain't mushie season for a month or two so I would consult a doctor to find out what is causing these mental dreams...

  2. They will run celtic close until xmas and then fade away and finish 2nd

  3. Mon The Dees ;)

  4. aye if you can shove a sat-nav up a camels erse

as the the only direction is erse up

         hahahaha

  5. This is getting a bit silly now.

let me explain why. I have nothing against Utd, but i look at the bigger picture.

Lets take a look at some facts from last season, now remember every-body seems to think that Utd will finish 2nd this season on there mighty 5th place from last season, and 5th place sure was dizzy heights for Utd. Please quote me if I'm wrong but was that not there 2nd top 6 finish in 6 seasons?

    Anyway.

Robson last season basically won Utd all there points in the first half of last season, any-body who disagrees know fook all about football...He is now gone.

Hunt kept the momentum going by scoring most there goals..he is now gone..

Kerr's work-rate last season was immense for them (yeah yeah what-ever) he is now disliked for one bad pass-back, how very narrow-minded, but i know for a fact that Utd and the majority of Utd fans wanted him to stay.

There run in last season 15 games or so they won 3 games (did they miss Robson i think so) but hardly the form of champions or even top 6 form is it now.

Who have they brought in to replace these huge players for them.

    Feeny..wow Cardiff's 10th choice striker..scary stuff

Some Spanish dude, signed on Levin watching a DVD of him..not ideal is it.

McGovern or whatever, on loan from Sunderland..he has a amazing scoring record, played 15 games for Sunderland, 1 in the first team and scored a amazing 0 goals..impressive stuff eh?

They sign Celtics 30th choice Goalkeeper..hmmmm?

Hardly idea replacements for the quality they lost..

Lets take a look at Levin persistence with this Diamond formation he use's, the same formation he used last season, and won 1 game in there last 8, you would think he would get the hint that it is not working..Dodds and Wilke? there mighty central defence, now these 2 are amazing when it come to long balls and corners, because there good in the air, but when it comes to fast paced football on  the ground there head-less chickens, as Hamilton proved and i watched that game and hamilton were shite too, Utd were worse.

All well and done when you have the likes of Robson, Kerr, Hunt in your team that's why Utd had a decent season last year and 5th is decent for them.

But i would love to see a strong Utd team for the sake of Scottish football, but this season, they will not be the same team and i think they will struggle for top 6 this year..the Bookie certainly don't have them as 3rd faves, and the bookies 99.9% of the time get things right..

  6. Got be said red trooper got it almost spot on utd have done nothing to disprove anything he had said.... yet!

I think utd may be found out this season in defence unless CL can do something mind you there is G. Kennith to bring in for dodds and it looks a bit better and there dixon but i'd need to have a better look at him.

I remember a few years back when T. Mclean came into Tannadice and did well and we were all talking about a challange for the next season but when it came other teams were used to the system we were playing and i think something similar might be happening to CL. 1 game gone many to though

  7. I really enjoyed red troops assessment of the tangerines cos he knows what he is talking about.  united did miss robson and will miss hunt and kerr due to the energy and commitment they brought to the side.  central defence was a stick on as our problem area this season as the players who shored up our defece last year (wilkie and dods) are now the players who are shaking it.

the pitch was slippy and soaking at hamilton last monday (AND they watered it a half time!) and our big slow lumbering defenders couldn't cope with the quick, passing and movement of the hamilton attack.  they were never off their arses and even when offiong fell over the ball in the lead up to the third goal, they found themselves unable to react quickly enough due to (i reckon) unsure underfoot conditions.

it also meant our midfield passing game got bogged down with endless underhit passes, leading to a less positive attitude in the middle.

i'm not sure about feeney, seems a bit greedy for me, but maybe he'll come on, o'donovan did nothing, so we'll have to wait and see.  i've been reasonably impressed by sandaza but he's only played bits of a couple of matches.

now, i had a dream aberdeen got relegated...  who's with me on this?

  8. lol will not happen.  They had a good season last year and have some cracking players but 3rd is there best hope, but if they play the way they did against Hamilton probably more like 7th
