Dvd player video but no sound?

Question

i have a dvd player that i bought and am trying to put it on my tv which has input and output but i can only s see the video i cant hear the sound?idk why i separated input output color cables any ideas?

Yellow is always video, red and white are audio. The DVD usually only have output, so just find the rca jacks that say input on your TV.
