Okay, I want to know how you can be sure that you're getting what you pay for on eBay. Like, say you buy an iPod... how can you be sure that you're going to get sent an iPod... not something else?? I've been searching around and I read that there was an incident where these people bought a laptop on eBay and they got sent a phonebook! Any eBay tips???

  1. Check the seller's feedback EVERY TIME you bid/buy. If a seller has 98-100 percent positive feedback, there's no way they're scamming people, or they wouldn't have such good feedback. If a seller has no feedback or only a few, it's safer to stay away from them.

Ive been a member of eBay since 1999, and made hundreds of purchases, and have never, not even once, been scammed or received the wrong item. The very few times my item never arrived or got lost in the mail, the sellers have always offered me an identical replacement or a complete refund. If the seller's feedback is good, you can trust them, in my experience. If they have just a few negatives, don't be alarmed. These are usually from people who weren't satisfied with the shipping speed or something silly like that. As long as their overall rating is 98 percent or above, you're safe.
