i have recieved a e-mail off ebay saying the following ====

the seller ******** tells us you have mutually agreed not to complete the transaction either because you returned or are returning the item or there was a misunderstanding (it wasn't in stock when i payed, i then had a full refund) and has requested a credit for their ebay fee .

so does this mean that they want me to pay them money or are they trying to get money off ebay themselves ?

i know it sounds a dumb qestion but im new to this ebay lark =)

  1. They are trying to get a refund off eBay for their listing fee (not sure but I think you get a black mark off eBay for not completing the deal)

    Who initiated the dispute?

  2. hhhhmmmmmmmmmm

i returned a faulty item only this week and haven't a request from the seller about Ebay fee's.

Are you sure it was the seller who sent this and not a ALERT from Ebay about Ebay Fees you haven't payed yet???

  3. This could be a spoof email, do not follow any links in the email.  Log onto your email account through your explorer and see if it is there.  If not send the email to spoof@ebay.co.uk.  If it is there then act on the instructions

    Malc

  4. No. I think it is just a request that you mutually agree that the deal has been settled.
