  1. That's the best oxy-moron I've heard since Microsoft Works!

  2. Despite their reputation, oil companies are eco-friendly. These energy companies invest billions of dollars in clean energy research. Almost as much as the federal government, which by the way has no business investing tax money in research.

And about the profits, oil companies on average make about $0.08 per gallon. Government taxes are about $0.40 in many states. So, don't blame gas prices on big oil.

  3. As long as oil companies are driven to makeas much  proffit as possible from extracting fossil fuels ,then fossil fuels is what they will extract for proffit. Some of them are finding ways to refine the product into different forms that when combusted releases less harmfull gasses. But that refining uses energy so in my view the only green oil company is one that changes its business to the production of solar cells or renewable energy devices.

  4. Right now basically all oil companies are doing something. Most major oil companies sneek in e10-e20 (ethanol) into their gas. There is no such thing as eco friendly oil. Best advice is, drive a car with the best fuel economy or get hybrid. Then agin you can always go fuel free with an EV or by fueling up at your local mcdonalds.

  5. British Petroleum claims that they've invested so much in liek solar, but as far as their commercials say, they might have very well just bought up solar companies and then raped and killed them.

  6. I'd choose the ECO-STATION

  7. Oil companies are faced with the hard facts of drilling and pipelines and refining and all of the paraphernalia that go with them. I would say some are tinkering at the edges to clean up their acts. They are increasing maintenance budgets, for example, and becoming more HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) aware after some recent explosions and oil spills. But what they are really trying to clean up is their image - that is why they have "green" logos and advertise their green credentials so widely in the media.

  8. BP claims to be beyond petroleum...ha ,,ha....oil exploration,,refining, transport is a tough dirty business...all the greenies cry put the oil co's out of busisness...ha..the computer thy write the rants on is 99 % plastic...made from OIL
