  1. Simple answer- yes. B30 refers to the fact you can use 30% bio-diesel mix in your vehicle under warranty. EN 14214 refers to the quality of the fuel when made from pure rapeseed oil (which is so expensive, any bio-diesel made from it would retail around £2 a litre- anything cheaper is a blend.)

  3. O.K. I get what the previous contributor is trying to say about fuels made from food.

Let's just agree that there is bio fuel made from a natural waste source and agrofuel, which causes a lot of aggro 'cause it's made from food crops that should be feeding people.

No, seriously, we have to start specifying where the fuel is coming from, and we can't allow people to starve just to fill up fuel tanks.  I appreciate that you are trying to what's best for the environment, but we have to question the suppliers of this fuel, and demand that this fuel really is what is best.

Agro fuels are creating a lot of problems because they are NOT carbon neutral and require as much fossil fuel input as growing food.  For every calorie you eat 10 calories of fossil fuel energy was used to grow and harvest it.  The use of grains is pushing up the price of ALL food and condemning millions to starvation.

There is going to be a biofools protest in London, at 10 Downing Street at 6pm on the 15th April.

Here's a link which will help explain the issues:

There are events all over the country, so see if you can support us.
