Hi

A couple of weeks ago I got water in my ear when in the bath and since then I've had a muffled feeling in my ear, it hasnt been hurtin its just muffled and it has been getting worse, I bought some wax remover drops last night and it cleared up abit but now it has started to hurt quite a lot - I had an ear infection in the same ear a couple of months ago! Anyone who has had an ear infection knows how painful that can be! I have an appointment with the nurse on Tuesday as I was going to see about having my ears syringed now I think I've probably developed an infection!

Also - the last couple of days I have been suffering from really horrible acid reflux - ive never had it before in my life and god is it horrible! Ive been taking Gaviscon which has been a life saver but I want to find out why I have it - I move house over the weekend and my mother in law thinks I'm probably getting run down because I'm stressed and obviously dont want to be ill over the weekend!

Please help - I feel like everything is going wrong! ha ha

  1. Had this problem twice and it REALL ******* hurts. What I think you have is an infection behind the ear drum (you can feel pressure right). Mucus and water gets behind the ear and becomes "warm" creating an ideal environment for bacteria to spread and build up (eventually causing pain).

What you do not to is stick a cotton bud deep into your ear, that'll make things worse I guarantee it (experience). Ok I know how bad it hurts and you need better than ordinary painkillers - try and talk to your doctor and write this down:

    Solpadol 30/500mg Capulets

    codeine Phosphate

    Hemihydrate 30mg

Paracetamol 500mg (each pill contains all 3). That'll get rid of the pain.

You also need to take ear drops and antibiotics (very important). Make sure you take everything exactly as presrcribed and for the stated amount of time.

    Cya!!!
