  2. In the field it is generally accepted that Early Childhood is from Birth to 8. However, most Early Childhood programs focus on the preschool years. You will need teacher certification for K-2. Some states include those grades in the general category of Elementary Education, others have different certifications. Check with the Education Dept. of the colleges that interest you to see what they offer. Generally, you do not necessarily need certification to work in grades below Kindergarten unless it is a public school Pre-K but it helps to get jobs in the better programs if you have at least some college.

  3. Early childhood is birth - age eight. (Teaching infants - 3rd grade)

  4. I early childhood education sound like Pre-school to me. 2 months to about Pre-K and Primary is K-5. My grandmother and aunt were Elementary School Teachers.

  5. early childhood is children from 0-8 so anything from preschool(daycare 0-5) or k-2...study that and u will be able to teach k-2.....but if u dont want to teach babies and toddlers u could also just do primary teaching which will enable u to work with k-6

  6. My best answer for this is speak to your Advisor. They will be able to answer all of your questions about your program of interest.
