Early years professional Status?

Question

Hi, all you experts in Pre school, is there any one out there who has completed the EYPS? How has it impacted on your setting and are you preparing for the EYFS? I have achieved EYP status and i want to hear from any of you who have the status or are currently working towards it, to hear what you think about this qualification.

Do you think it will raise the professionalism of Early Years Practice?

Hi, Well done!  I am hoping to go for EYPS soon.  I think it will give early years practitioners more respect.  We have a difficult job and we work really hard, we aren't just 'playing' with children.  I think it will close the gap between early years practitioners and primary/secondary teachers.
