Question:

Earphones? Earbuds? Headphones?

Which would be best for your ears? Like they won't do damage to the ears. I want to find one that would last long. I'm only using it for my computer (plug into). I don't want one that would cost more than 20 dollars or is this really impossible?

Thanks!

  1. Headphones.

They have better quality and block out sound well and dont damage your ears.

  2. um, depends. Earbuds normally damage the most due to the fact that they dont have noise cancellation and Noise Isolation. Headphones are next to damage your ears because even though they have Noise Cancellation, Lots of sound still get through while you're listening and because when you have GOOD headphones, people tend to play them at high Volumes just because they can reach high volumes, and that they don't distort and still sound fantastic at high volumes. I would say earphones are the type to damage your ears the least, they have little silicone/rubber parts that stick into your ear like earplugs and most block out 90% of the noise around you so that you don't have to play your music at high levels to be able to hear it. Pretty much all earphones have a better sound quality than earbuds, and some even go to the limits of people to produce the sound so realistic it's SCARY. for $20, it's really hard to find a pair of LONG lasting earphones, however, at $25. There's the Creative Ep-630, They are EXTREMELY durable, comfortable, Noise Isolating, and Sound VERY VERY nice for the price. Maybe you could try looking around to see if you can find a pair of these. I would say these are the best earphones that you can get under $60.

Hope this has helped and good luck on finding YOUR pair.

  3. They range in prices and the ones i use are Earbuds. They wont damage hearing but only if you have the volume all the way up while listening to music and what not.
