i just posted a letter to somewhere in the same city (melbourne, australia). how long does it take to arrive at its destination? just 1 day?

it depends what time you posted it if before about 4pm you should be right for next day delivery , but if later i would say two days

If posted before the last collection, about 5pm ish, it should arrive the next day.

I'm in Fitzroy at the moment.

This Monday just passed, I sent an ebay package to someone in Oakleigh- At around 1pm.

They received it in the mail yesterday.

No dramas. :)

I think, if it is sent before the time of pick-up (I think 4pm?) it should usually tell you on the post box, or they can tell you what time the parcel pick-up is at your local post office.

Australia's postal system is quite good.

If you posted before the collection time for the day then yes it should arrive the next business day.
