East meets west??

Just to be different I'm going with the 0 meridian line in the Pacific Ocean.  That's where every New Year first starts.

It doesn't does it? I mean if you are in California and you fly to Japan, you're still travelling west. It all depends on where you are at the time.

I remember a Muslim asking me which way was East. I indicated East, but added, 'However, Mecca is in that direction'. Approximately South-East from where we were.

Once at a BBQ, I discovered a group of Somalis praying down by the lake. I hadn't the heart to tell them they were facing West, after all I'm sure their prayers would arrive eventually.

By the way, do Churches east of Jerusalem face West?
