Easter in Peru?

I'm going to be in Peru during the easter celebrations, probably in Cuzco. Can someone tell me please if its actually fun to be there during that time? Will everything be closed? Will there be much to do for a backpacker during this time?

I know Cuzco will have a "Our Lord of Earthquakes" procession on Easter Monday. Will Easter weekend itself be quiet though?

Thanks!!
