  1. You can get throat sweets from chemists called "vocal zones". They are little black liquorice things in a red box. They a bit like disgusting alcohol (don't mean to put you off) - but they honestly work. I was in high school musical as Gabriella, and they saved my life! I'm also planning on using them during We will rock you when i'm playing Scaramouche.

I would advise you to also try soothers, tunes etc if you don't like the taste. Vocal zones are more for if you are losing your voice. And the others are for sore throats.

But please drink water constantly!!! Never allow yourself to be dehydrated because it dries out the vocal chords. Don't eat salty foods or allow hairspray to be sprayed near you. And even though you will hate me for saying this, DON'T EAT CHOCOLATE!!!!!!! This will seriously dry out your throat. Also - don't eat dairy products as they leave a slimy coating on your throat.

But to be honest - you just have to rest your voice. Try whispering in stead of talking to prevent over-projecting the voice.

To prevent this from happening in the future - remember your support during singing. I'm guessing you're an experienced singer going for an audition so you will know what i mean.

Hope the audition goes really well!!!

  2. All you have to do is keep placing things further and further back on your tongue until you've desensitized it enough to take anything down there.

  3. drink plenty of water and halls candy. vapor works too.

    best of luck.
