what is the pH of a buffer containing 0.45 mol of CH3COOK added to 1L of 2M CH3COOH?

*assume pKa of acetic acid is 4.75

    Sorry, guess i dont deserve the 2 points huh.


  2. i make the pH to be 4.40.

    [H+] = Ka X [CH3COOH] / [CH3COOK]

    = 1.78 x [1moldm-3] / [o.45 moldm-3]

    =3.356 x10 - 5

    pH = -log [H+] (3.356 x 10 -5 )

    = 4.4027
