  1. If you like garlic, this is the recipe for you. Thickly slice 6 cloves of garlic and place in small pot with 2 tablespoons of  olive oil.(you wont be eating the garlic, it is just to infuse the oil with the taste) Set aside.

fill large pot with water and s teaspoon of salt. bring water to boil and add a packet of  thin spaghetti. Follow directions on back of pasta packet. while pasta is cooking, chop one zucchini into smallish pieces and gently fry until cooked. pasta should be cooked now, so very carefully drain off the pasta and leave to drip in sink. put pot back on stove and put  the garlic oil into the pot. (discard the garlic). The warmth from the pot will gently melt the oil. Add pasta back into the pot and add zucchini. stir around, then serve with whatever cheese you want. this is the easiest pasta to make and tastes great and is very cheap to make. you can also check out this site

  2. Pasta is one of the best quick meals to make.

-In a medium sized pot add hot water and a bit of salt.

-Cover and bring to a boil

-Add the pasta of choice, shells / elbow might work best for now.

-reduce the heat to a low boil, keep an eye on it so it doesn't boil over the edge of the pot. Add a bit of oil during the boil to help prevent this.

-give it a stir to prevent sticking to the bottom.

-As each oven works differently, you'll have to keep an eye on it. After about 10 min. taste it. if it's not as soft as you would like, like it go for another min or so and taste it again.

    Sauce

    -butter and garlic

    Just have fun!

    Hope this helps a bit...

  4. One of the best tips for cooking pasta is to make sure you use lots of water and that it has enough salt in it.  Pasta on its own doesn't really taste like anything, so it needs quite a bit of salt in the cooking water to give it some flavour.  Taste the water before you put the pasta in - it should taste salty like seawater.  Also, don't overcook it - mushy pasta is just gross.  Taste it once in a while during cooking so you get used to how long it takes, and when it gets to the point where you like it then take drain it off.  DO NOT RINSE YOUR PASTA!  If you rinse it under running water you'll just wash away all the starch on its surface which is what helps the sauce cling to it.

You can find hundreds of easy recipes for sauces at www.epicurious.com.  Try keeping it ultra simple at first; toss in some cold butter, a little garlic powder, maybe some lemon juice and fresh ground black pepper.  Good luck on your burgeoning cooking career!

  5. i agree make sure you have enough water.  dont be afraid to check the noodles by tasting them to see if they are done.  You dont want them chewy/raw tasting.  As for sauces you could get the sauces that come in the jar from the store, and just add in chunks of chicken already cooked (from the rotisserire section), and get parmesean cheese that is laready grated for you to put on top.  Alfrado sauce is good for pasta, just add in some bacon bits if you like, some broccoli, and grated cheese on top, also sundried tomatos that come in a jar are also good to thrown in!
