OK, I want to describe a part of my house in spanish, but not sure how. The situation is this:

The kitchen and the living/dining is next to each other. There are no walls separating the kitchen and the living/dining .

Is there like a word like salón-comedor-cocina?

Anyway, this is my attempt, please please correct!

La cocina está al lado del salón-comedor. No hay ninguno pareds entre los dos.

  1. You can say "salacomedor" as one word. It´s not in the dictionary, but many people now, specially in decoration and real state slang, use it that way. In my country is very common (houses are nowadays so small, that living and dining room are just one piece).

    SO, say:

    sala is living room.
