Question:

Eat less, workout more?

I weigh 130 and i really want to loose 40 pounds in a month.

I jog every morning, i go full out in gym class and ive cut down my eating alot! I don't eat at all during school just drink tons of water and when i get home i have a granola bar and for dinner i have some veggies or a fruit.

Can I do it ?

  1. Yeah, that doesn't sound too healthy to me. You're starving yourself.


  2. well we dont know how tall you are so its hard to tell if your actually overweight. youde be overweight if you were around 5 feet even. and even then its not necessarily fat. When I was in high school, I was 6'2 and 170lbs (male) and I had some fat on me that I wanted to turn into muscle. So I stopped eating and worked out more. This just tore the muscle I had down and made my body go into shock. If you increase your workouts and decrease your food, your body says "Whats going on? Im not getting my fuel!" and then it starts storing whatever fat you do take in because it knows it wont get anymore for a while.

    Best advice is to learn good exercises and their proper form. Eat more often, like 4 times a day, just eat healthy. Your metabolism will kick in and you'll be doing fine. Remember its not going to happen in a month, but this is how you do it and look good when your done;-) Trust me.

    wow YOU HAVE to eat at least 1200 cals...

    or your body will take everything you eat and store it as fat if you dont eat 1200cals PER day.

  5. you are heading down a very unhealthy path.... first of all eating is your friend, it establishes energy.. eventually the no eating during the day will catch up to you and cause you to hold onto unhealthy weight. the ideal eating way is 3 small meals a day and 2 snacks inbetween. this causes your metabolism to continually be working which then burns calories. not eating all day is allowing your metabolism to slow down. the working out is good but you must remember muscle weighs more then fat.. you shouldnt worry about what you weigh if you want to worry about image worry about the way your body looks the toning and such if you work on the weight part you might as well give up on the working out and keeping your muscles healthy..
