Ebay - love it / hate it?

Has anybody bought goods on Ebay and paid your money only to find that your goods don't arrive?

I used to love ebay back in it's heyday in the late 90's. Lately it's gotten ruined by Ebay charging sellers exorbitant selling fees so they have to make up for it by charging the customer more. It's also ruined by people selling c**p in the wrong category so you get things that you don't even do a search for. I did a search for Spelling Power the other day, a book, and got pages and pages of car listings. Most of the individuals who sell on ebay are reputable people, it's the fly by night companies and drop shippers trying to make the next million dollars on Ebay that you have to watch out for. I don't use Ebay anymore. I hate it.

You have to check the accountability of the person you buy from.

I know too many instances of people getting screwed out of their money. plus the deals aren't even that good.

That hasnt happened to me. but a lot of times when i look on ebay for something, its cheaper to buy it new from say Best Buy than it is to buy a used one from ebay.

I think a lot of the things on ebay are ripping the customers off
