i brought an ebay item with $980 but i found a better deal..... if i dont pay it, how much would ebay charge him for this sale? thanks

  1. Its possible for the seller to get the 'Final Value Fees' refunded if both of you mutually agree to cancel the transaction.

    The seller will still lose the listing fees, these can range for a few cents to a few dollars, depends on the starting price, and any additional options like photos, featured, reserve price etc, so you will need to ask the seller about this.

  2. I would ask the seller to cancel the transaction and mention you will pay his listing fee.

    If you mutually agree to cancel, the seller will get a refund for final sale fee.

    Ebay does not allow sellers to leave negative feedback for buyers anymore, however the sell could file against you and then you would get a non paying bidder strike.

  3. You should always check before bidding.  Number one: they will leave neg. feedback. Number two: People try to make money on ebay.  After you bid and win....they have to PAY final fees plus listing fees...then they have to PAY again to relist it.

    Its happened to me tons.  it sucks.
