Well, Mark didn't make the belt. It was Teddy Long's idea to make a new belt.

No it was Vince who decided to redesign the ECW belt and stamp his own identity on it.Since ECW isn't extreme anymore and Vince bought out Paul Heyman, he wants ECW as just the third brand of WWE.It's the same deal for the Divas title when that was created.WWE are looking to the future with new titles and new looks.With ECW, it was done to move away from its past history.

it is a different belt. i think they got him a new one because the old one wouldn't fit around his waist most likely. i like the old belt better
