Effects for editing videos?

I love to make videos on my camera. I'm really good at it too but the light ing id always bad because the camera sucks I i dont know how to work it! I'm only good at keeping the camera stil when moving and editing the videos and stuff. I would like to better software to edit the movies with. The effects i can make with my software is limited and not good. the best thing i can do with my software is make the movie in black and white. I want to get a better camera, camcorder and some software for editing and effects. but i don't want to waste my money and have it be some crudy software or camera. please HELP!

If you're satisfied with the video quality of your camcorder then I'd keep your camera and invest in editing software. Magix Movie Edit Pro 12 is a good program. Its cheap and it has a lot of cool features. Its also easy to use. Sony Vegas 8 costs more but it's very powerful and easy to use. I use both a lot. If you are set on getting a new camera, you can use it for a second angle. Something to think about. Good luck.
