Question:

Electonic Temperature Control

We have had this refrigerator of two months and almost immediately we noticed that the temperature noted on the front display did not match what was really on the inside. We bought refrigerator thermometers and have gotten in the daily habit of unplugging and plugging in the refrigerator 4 or 5 times a day so that the outside digital display would register the correct temp signally the compressor to kick in. Sometimes the difference in temp is as much as 20 degrees! Of course I called BestBuy for repair and they sent a man out who replaced the PCB main circuit card, DA4a-00128D. However, that did not fix the problem. Samsung said they could not find a repairperson to take our repair call since we live in a rural area and have basically given up and told us to exchange unit, which means a 2 hr drive back to the big city! However, I like the style/color of this unit which they don't make any more. Is there hope for this electronic problem or is this model doomed to be a headache?? I think that it is either in the temperature display or the sensor.ThanksWhen ice maker is turned on the freezer temperature decreases to -12 deg. while the front display shows +8 deg. Ice cream is rock solid! When ice maker is turned off the freezer temp control works fine. At our request, Bestbuy replaced the refrigrator but the new one had the same problem!
