Electric Stoves?

I moved into an apartment with an Electric Stove and i am use to gas ones... is there any difference? is one better than the other?

You have my deepest sympathies... seriously.  It's like learning to cook all over again!  It's very difficult!  Gas is much easier to control the heat, while electric takes time to warm up or cool down and many a dinner has been overdone or has been grossly miscalculated in terms of preparation time.

In the end, however, you just learn to live with it as with anything we're not used to.

the older electric stovs are very slow to get hot,,gas gets hot faster so you will have problems,, newer electrics get hot in 6-8 seconds
