Electrical Help?

We bought a doughboy pool(http://www.inlandhotspring.com/usedspas/images/Tuscfam350.jpg)

yesterday and we put it up forgeting to put the top on the filter(terrible, i know) so the water starts shooting up for i would say an hour or more....but the the cord to the filter got wet! i need to be able to use it today we have company coming over! is there a way to dry it?? if so for how long and how do i do it???

  1. The safest way of course, would be to turn off the breaker first. THEN plug in your cord, then turn your breaker back on at a safe distance.

  2. The cord it self is water proof however; if the water got into the motor wiring or if it got into the plug than that's a different story. Even though you forgot the filter cover just remember that pools are designed to be outside so a little shouldn't harm anything. If the water had shorted anything it would have blown, I think you may be good to go. Be careful.
