Eliminate Blurry Photos HELP?

Question

I scan pictures to my computer and I zoom in on what I want and it comes out badly blurred. Do you know of free software that will fix blurry pictures.

No way to fix blurry out of focus photos.  But there are ways to eliminate them( at least for the most part)  

1. use a tripod

2. use a high shutter speed

3. use the auto focus

4. use a cable release

Most out of focus blurry photos are the result of camera shake.  Most people cannot hand hold a camera without the camera shake much below a shutter speed of 1/60 of a second.(that is what your P&S cameras are set at.)  Also when you press the shutter button you will get some vibration and that can cause the photos to be blurry.

It's probably the way you scan your images. See if you can scan at a much higher 'dots per inch' rate or scan the image at 200 % or even higher,

Hi Brutus

Get Photoshop, or Corel Photo-paint. You can sharpen your pics a little at a time. If you sharpen them too much, the pics will come out even worse.

When you scan, scan at 600 dpi if possible. Secondly, it is normal that the pics get blurred if you zoom in but usually, when we look at a pic, we don't put it 1 inch from our eyes either.
