  1. Countess Erzsébet Báthory born 7 August 1560 – 21 August, 1614, was a Hungarian countess from the renowned Báthory family. She was not queen but was from a very poweful aristocrate family. Through her mother, she was the niece of Stefan Batory, King of Poland. At the age of eleven she was engaged to Ferenc Nádasdy and moved to Nádasdy Castle in Sárvár. She is considered the most infamous serial killer in Hungarian and Slovak history and is remembered as the Bloody Lady of Čachtice (Csejte), after the castle near Trenčín (Trencsén), in Royal Hungary, in present-day Slovakia, where she spent most of her life. After her husband's death, she and her four alleged collaborators were accused of torturing and killing dozens of girls and young women. In 1610, she was imprisoned in Čachtice Castle, where she remained until her death four years later. Her nobility allowed her to avoid trial and execution. The Báthory case has inspired many stories, featuring the countess bathing in the blood of her victims in order to retain her youth. This inspired nicknames like the Blood Countess and Countess Dracula.

  2. go to youtube.com and type in her name.

  3. Elizabeth Bathory was a sadistic , selfish woman who killed over 100 virgin serving girls  so she could  bathe in their blood. ( she believed that it would keep her young and beautiful.) I don't know if anyone published her diary.  It may just be an urban legend. She was walled up in a cell and never let out again as punishment for her misdeeds. When she died she was considered so evil that they just bricked up the cell  and didn't bother to bury her.

  4. She was a Hungarian Noblewoman who thought she could live forever if she bathed in the blood of virgins so she killed well over 100 young servant girls before she was finally caught.  Because of her status, she couldn't be killed outright so the powers that be locked her in her room where she eventually died.

  5. Supposedly, she bathed in the blood of virgins. Check out the site below(it's great and very informative):
