Im looking to emigrate to Oz next Jan. Ive filled in one of those online applications and just got by with my points - however, I didnt continue with their application and pay them the £200 as I wasn't sure if they were to be trusted - so can anyone recommend a company to go with (maybe someone you know has had good experience with them?) ie - a company to help me obtain emigration status - also any other websites/companies that deal with this sort of question would be of help to me.......

  1. I endorse everything said in previous answers. The only people who have any cause to go to an agent are those with such complex applications that they can't make sense of what to do. Agents are useless for anyone else and cannot EVER help anyone to get in who wouldn't otherwise have been granted a visa. Don't waste your money.

  2. Listen dont go with any agent do it yourself. I am well on my way and the process is simple, save yourself around 3 grand it is not difficult.

  3. its easy and best to do it yourself from the Australian immigration website,i presume you are applying as a skilled worker?

why pay thousands for something you can do yourself

  4. Hi Hatti, Although i cant really help with your question i hope you don't mind me offering a little advice. A few years ago i decided to move to Adelade and like you had got all the points i and my family needed. I had put our home up for sale and saved the £ 10,000 i reckoned we needed to move our belongings and set up in a rented house in Adelade. Like so many other pommes who move there i had never once set foot in the country. I decided it would be a VERY expensive mistake if we got there and didnt like it so i borrowed from our fund and went to find out what it was like. The bubble burst the moment i landed. I went out of my way to find out as much as i could about the way of life there and what i found made me decide it was no place for a young family ( ever wondered why so many Australian graduates leave Oz as soon as they can ) I found racism on a scale unseen in the UK and that includes all colours of Brits. They even have a bitter animosity towards Australians from the neighbouring state and until you are there you have no idea just how far away from "home" you really are. If you have never been trust me and risk spending a little money to find out if it really is what you want. It may be perfect for you and i hope it is but if its not its a long way home and you will be paying for you mistake for many years. Good Luck.

  5. Tuppenybitz has beaten me to it again. "Someday we will meet, Tuppenybitz" (said with a scowling brow) to quote my hero Homer Simpson

But yes, follow the link and take it from there.

  6. do you need a company? have you not contacted Australian immigration service ? try  having a look at them first as the companies that 'assist' for a set sum of money are only useful if you are borderline application status.

It may pay to ask in other areas /forums about those who have successfully immigrated for advise etc.

I have one colleague who had an issue  and having tried the Australian service used one of the companies. I cannot contact him  easily to ask which one as he works for long periods  away form home in the mining industry.
