  1. I'm a bit confused because I thought you were a teenager coming here with your family. If that's the case, one of your parents with a required occupation passes the points test, gets a skilled worker visa and his/her partner and their kids come in on the same visa and are granted whatever rights and privileges the main visa holder receives.

Skilled worker visas come in two basic flavours - permanent or temporary. Permanent means just that and after 4 years, everyone on it can apply for citizenship if they wish. Applying for citizenship isn't mandatory - you could stay here on a permanent visa forever if you wished.

Temporary visas are somewhat easier to get, but can often be converted after some time to permanent visas though the requirements for doing so are complicated. Temporary visa holders don't get the same range of benefits and privileges as PRs - e.g. full Medicare benefits, free education etc.

If I've misunderstood the question, please clarify what you need to know.

  2. If you are under 18 you will not need to do anything as you will be accompanying your parents.

If you are over 18, the read the information on the Australian Government's Department of Immigration and Citizenship website: http://www.immi.gov.au  It tells you everything you need to know.

You've been given this link before, so I don't understand why you're still confused.
