End of School Party...help?!?

ok me and 4 friends are planning an end of school party. We will rent a big place for a huge bash. It's going to be co-ed. The things I need help with are:

-A theme?

-Do you think it would be rude to charge the people that come? (the place we're renting is kind of expensive)

-What kind of stuff should we do?

just anything in general that you think would make this party one to remember?

that sounds great! haha..

some possible themes could be:

* Mardi Gras; colorful beads, masks, etc.

* Club Theme; ppl dress like they're going out clubbing

* Office Party; guys dress nice in business suits, girls dress like there S****y secretaries (cause hey it's the one time you can get away with dressing really S****y and it's okay! lol)

* Black & Red Party; something as simple as everyone wearing black and red

.....i do think it'd be a little rude to charge ur friends money to go, but if you are inviting like the whole school or anybody that wants to show up....then i think it'd be alright haha

-Luau, formal (if you like that and are like 13+, but I know my grade loves them), Hollywood

- Well you have 4 people splitting it. And yes, under most circumstances I do think that would be rude, since you are the host. If you are seriously inviting everyone. But, if not everyone is coming then its kinda mean. But, if everyone is then its more like something you might be able to charge for

- Dance party is what I would recommend

well some themes that i think of are:

*mardi gras            *tropical-ish

*white party            *underwater?

*circus theme         *winter wonderland?

*asian theme?       *costum party?

and u could charge people..i guess but dont make it expensive wer no one will b willing to pay to get in.

lastly, you could hire entertainers for ur party. depends on wah theme ur doing tho. like bring a dude who can blow fire if u did dah circus theme. something like that..

1. great music (maybe a band... but i understand the money limit)

2. Maybe just make it dressy for the theme....

3. charging ppl shouldn't be a problem as long as it's not to much... like i wouldn't go anywhere over $5.

4. Maybe during the party hand out Boas, those are always fun!

5. invite ppl who like to dance, once a few ppl dance everyone will join in

6. include line dances! Always a great thing to get ppl movin

7. Get simple foods that everyone likes ( like chocolate, chips & dip, soda, water, etc.)

P.S. maybe even ask your friends on what would make a party great! (stay away from alchohal..... it can make monsters!)

Turn it into a rave style party...

Glow in the dark theme...

get some black lights to put all over..

everyone dressed in dark clothes  (goth style)

give away glow in the dark bracelets and glow sticks at the entrance....

get some glow in the dark paint and make some cool posters that say end of school stuff.... (like graffiti style)

have a buffet style table for snacks...

and lots of drinks.. like an open bar kinda thing...

a great DJ with a light show...

make some invites that makes this the party of the year..  like a flyer style kind of invitation...

And you CAN charge for this ..  just make it reasonable and include the snacks and the drinks...

or maybe charge for the drinks and give away the snacks...  just like bars do...
