  1. i love red bull, but i dont recommend energy drinks, they last less than you'd expect and then you feel reallly tired. just dont load up on sugar, its always bad

  2. no... especcailly not red bull...if u must have something to drink drink a G2 (less sugar) or eat an energy gel  u don't want something high in calories. if u need to eat during a meet eat fruit which gives u fast energy. before a meet eat carbohydrates like pasta or bagels, those provide u with loger lasting energy

  3. I drink diet Mountain Dew Code Red Before and after swimming. It doesn't make me jittery, or have an after crash, but it does give me more energy.

  4. it might, cause lots of sugar can make you dehydrated when you swim. but if you take it at the right time it will give you a boost of energy. I took one at the right time once while playing ddr and i was playing nonstop, but then there was another time where I took it at the wrong time and it made me tired. It just depends.

but I don't suggest it - eat something healthy with lots of carbs.

  5. it definetly might weigh you down since the sugars it has are harder to break down as opposed to something you'd get from a fruit but I never really would drink an entire bottle of ANYTHING during a meet you kind of feel it stirring in your stomach when you're swimming, maybe a swig of water or gatorade is okay, something our coach used to do was give us a bit of mouthwash it gives you a rush and if you lose it wont taste as bitter.
