Energy drink crash?

I drank 3 sips of Monster Energy yesterday. 2 hours later, I was soo tired, so I took a nap. Today, I feel horrible. I have a headache, and I'm a bit tired. Am I still suffering from the crash? This was the first time I drank an energy drink. I'm 14 years old.

P.S. Do energy drinks actually give you cancer? Liver problems? Anything else I should know about? And I'm planning to drink VitaminEnergy little by little.. what do I expect for when I crash?

  1. Most energy drinks are not balanced to fully maximize the bodies potential to absorb at the cellular level in a balanced way. That's why the rollercoaster effect of crash and burn.

There are some drinks out there that are more natural to the bodies natural ways of absorbing at the cellular level minus the sugar. That also means no artificial sugars in the drink.

The best I've found are the ones that contain super food extracts. The one I am currently taking cannot be found in the stores as I purchase it from an online store that promotes it.

I would like to mention it, but do not want to get reported for fear of violating the communities answer rules to people under age 18.

So my best advice is to do a google search on "super food energy drinks"  or "health energy drink articles" and take the time to educate yourself on what might be out there that is really good for you.

Hope my answer helped you out.  I commend you for taking an interest in your health early on in your age.  Have a healthy day.  :)

  2. the same thing happens to me when i drink energy drinks .. and yes energy drinks are really bad for you but then agian some energy drinks out there are actually good for you.

  3. drinks like monster energy and red bull just to name a couple are full of caffiene and sugar and you get the sensation that you are full of energy. In actuality all its doing is attacking differents of your system suseptable to the effects both these things do. sugar in your blood in large amounts is not a good balance to the starches in your system. Caffeine works on brain cells stimulating them to produce adrenalin which your body only gives off in emergencies when your system can handle them. In other words all these things in these so called energy drinks are not natural to your system and work on your body like a drug which caffeine is anyway. No they arent good for you.
